For the 4th of July, we went to Spicer farms to pick some raspberries and strawberries. Here we are riding the wagon out to the raspberries. We were surprised by the diversity of people at the farm; there were russians, germans, indians, and southeast asians.
Abigail's favorite part of the whole thing was eating the berries. It became a race to try to get the baskets full before she ate all of them.
She would not even stop eating to take a picture.

They had sweet cherries to pick which we did not do, but Abigail enjoyed watching the cherry pitting machine. David was wishing he had one growing up.

We still have a lot of strawberries and raspberries left which we have frozen. We have not decided exactly what we will do with them. We were surprised by the amount of stuff that was available in Michigan for picking (peaches, cherries, apples, and all sorts of berries). We will probably go again to get something else.

Have David make Grandma's strawberry coffee cake.
No kidding! A cherry pitting machine would have been great growing up, although it would not have separated out the wormy cherries.
I love how Abigail wouldn't stop eating strawberries - so cute! My girls are just now able to pick things without eating them all.
Tell David that I have made delicious strawberry muffins, and that I would like it if he would figure out how to make lemon pancakes with raspberry sauce.
